Information and Suggestions for Current Students:

Read the following 3 steps to come prepare for classes:

1)  Login and use your CLC Portal and Email!

All the tools and resources necessary to succeed in your clasess are found in the college's main portal. Find out your CLC login ID and password soon and explore all your options! Ask CLC's Help Desk or call 847-543-4357, if you can't login or have any issues ... before your classes begin!

2) Stay connected with your class and instructor!

Many successful students have expressed that besides checking the syllabus, the key is to communicate with classmates and with instructors.

3) Be on time. Attend all classes. Complete homework and assignments promptly!

Assigments and class activities are done in any of these platforms: Zoom, Canvas, Online Book (if any). In syncronized or asynchronized learning, other tools, such as the LANGUAGE LAB will be needed.

  • Read the first three steps before classes begin (above)
  • All FRENCH STUDENTS should attend the first day of class before purchasing any class materials!
  • Keep the College of Lake County's homepage always ready to login to myCLC myCLC button This is needed, throughout the semester to:
        • Email your instructor (find her name in your schedule)
        • Access Canvas - Your online component (Connect) is paired and synced with this LMS
        • Login to Zoom
  • Check your syllabus and calendar of activities regularly. This info is also located in Canvas
    • If there is any assignment (especially recording) prepare well and do it as soon as possible
  • Communicate with your instructor regularly!
